MagicWish ("we", "us", "our") operates a wishlist and gift discovery mobile application. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our mobile application and any related services.
We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what we collect and why.
2Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, information collected automatically, and limited information from third-party services used by app features.
- Account details such as email address, username, display name, password or login token, and profile photo.
- Wishlist content such as lists, items, product names, prices, descriptions, store names, product URLs, barcode numbers, gift status, and notes.
- Photos and camera content you choose for your profile or wish items. Product recognition may send selected images to a vision service.
- Precise location only when you choose to tag a wish store, spot a friend's gift, select a place on the map, get directions, or find nearby stores.
- Friends and sharing data such as follows, followers, list visibility settings, and gift or spotted-location actions.
- Device, push notification, usage, network, and crash information needed to operate, improve, and secure the service.
- Product metadata, map data, place data, addresses, coordinates, and nearby-store results returned by third-party providers.
3How We Use Your Information

4How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances needed to operate the Platform.
- Backend, database, and storage providers help create accounts, store wish lists, upload images, authenticate users, and run the service.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging registers push notification tokens and delivers notifications if you allow them.
- Google Maps, Places, and Geocoding support maps, nearby stores, address lookup, coordinates, and directions.
- Google Vision and product data providers identify products from photos or barcodes and fetch product metadata.
- Apple App Store and Google Play distribute the app, process platform-level reports, and support app installation and updates.
- We may disclose information if required by law, court order, government authority, or a business transfer.
5Data Retention
- Account data is retained until you delete your account.
- Wishlist and profile data is retained while your account is active and deleted when you delete the item, list, or account, subject to legal obligations.
- Location data is retained only when you save it to a wish, store, spotted item, or shared list action.
- Usage logs and crash reports are retained for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Upon account deletion, personal data is removed from active systems within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations and backup cycles.
6Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of your personal information.
- You can update account information from Profile settings.
- You can change whether supported wish lists are visible to friends or only to you.
- You can remove wishes, wish lists, product photos, store details, and location details at any time.
- You can disable camera, photo, location, and notification permissions in your device settings.

7Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as encrypted transmission, secure authentication, and access controls. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may display links to third-party websites or services, including product pages, retailers, barcode or product data providers, map services, and directions apps. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" and notify you through the application or by email where appropriate.
